A work from ‘Hold The Handrail, Mind The Gap’, an exhibition of results of Munich Residency.

Dreams Solitaire arises from two things. The second segment of the film was originally a work about my sister’s disordered state. It interpolates the traces that I recorded while she was not at home, arranging them with a logic that mimics her idiosyncratic way of forging connections between things. I have always wanted to continue the work in some way. Secondly, before I left Hong Kong, a friend of mine and I wanted to start a project using video as a form of correspondence, but it ended up in vain. 

These two things were combined in the present work: a documentation of being alone in a residence in Munich, compared to an empty home in Hong Kong ; diaries of sounds and images in Hong Kong and Europe alternately strung together, constructing a dreamlike self-dialogue.

慕尼黑駐留展覽《Hold The Handrail, Mind The Gap》中的影像作品。 

作品源自兩件事。其一是第二段，本是一個以聲影模仿和理解家人絮亂狀態的短片《鐵鈴》（2018），我一直想以某種方式延續它。二是離港前跟一個朋友約定，用影像作書信開展一個創作計劃，後來無疾而終。

《夢接龍》結合二事，獨自在慕尼黑住處的紀錄，與妹妹離家住院時無人的家作對照。第三段是香港和歐洲交替的畫面接龍，串起來像夢的自我對話。
