“…watching the world disappear as if on a journey of no return”.
On the train to Munich, while reading a letter from a friend in prison, I came across a line from a poem (Things I Didn’t Know I Loved) written by the Turkish poet Nâzım Hikmet in exile. A series of photographs bearing the title of the line will be the prelude to the exhibition. This will be followed by dozens of photographs pairing scenes from Hong Kong and Germany, an installation of collages of sounds collected in both places, and a video experimenting with audiovisual sensory memories, which together will form the conclusion of this transitional period.
