This is a birthday gift for my sister. She left home for a month and I recorded the traces of her absence. This work endeavors to stage a fictive narrative in this space that interpolates these traces, sounds and images that I recorded while she was gone, arranging them with the use of a logic that mimics her own idiosyncratic way of forging connections between things and events.

The name of the film, ‘Iron Bell’, is taken from a poem by Gu Cheng that she gave me a few years ago.

給妹妹的生日禮物。她因事離家一個月，離家前我察覺到她會根據事物的關聯來推動思考。我以這樣的聲音和影像邏輯，記錄她不在的家。片名《鐵鈴》取自她數年前抄寫給我一首顧城的詩。
